Peter and Karen Scheirlinck  - Owners

Peter and Karen took over Walkies in 2017, and are proud to be continuing a strong 15 year heritage of service to Auckland pet owners.

We each grew up cherishing pets, and have continued this tradition with our now grown children - adopting puppies and kittens from the SPCA and most recently welcoming a Wheaten Terrier into our lives. We believe there's something special about a home with a pet, a warmth and a sense of family - from the excited greeting of a young animal to the intuition and companionship of a older dog or cat.

We're proud to lead the Walkies team of pet care professionals. Each of our team shares a passion for animals, and has the skills to deliver enriching care to meet your pet's physical and emotional needs on a personalised basis. You can have confidence we'll look after your pet as if it were our own.

Andrea Campbell - Walkies Pet Care Professional

Andrea has been with Walkies since 2011 and loves looking after all the furry clients, big and small, fluffy and not so fluffy!

Andrea has a veterinary nursing qualification and has worked at vet clinics in Auckland. She has also spent many years in the hospitality industry and continues this part time. When not out and about looking after other peoples critters you will find her with her dog Eva (pictured), cats, birds, fish and a rabbit.

Rachel Maloney - Walkies Pet Care Professional

Hi! My name is Rachel and I am originally from UK but been in NZ for over 20 years. I have always had pets since I was a toddler and my pets have always been a big part of my family. I was lucky enough to come across Walkies when I was looking for a part time role and have been employed as a Pet Care Professional since 2011.

It is a privilege to look after people's much loved animals and I have built up great relationships with many of the furry friends. I have my pet first aid certificate and have also volunteered at the SPCA. In my spare time I love bush walking, meditation and reading. My favourite part of working at Walkies is doing the Christmas cat feeds as I get to hang out with the cats and give them cuddles and company while their family are away.


Margot Denford - Walkies Pet Care Professional

I was born in England and met my Kiwi husband in London; we returned to live on the North Shore in 2003.

I spend a lot of my time with dogs – I have two of my own (King Charles Spaniels) & I look after my friend’s Cavoodle when she is working or away. One day a week I work as a volunteer Kennel Assistant at the  NZ Blind Foundation, which involves exercising, grooming, feeding, doing health checks and generally caring for the Guide Dogs in training or dogs boarding at the kennels.  I also work for Outreach Therapy Pets (a joint SPCA/ St Johns charity) visiting care homes, schools, hospitals or special events with my dog Ruby.

Working for “Walkies” fits in perfectly with my lifestyle – I love all animals, the outdoors and keeping fit.  It helps me stay in shape for playing interclub tennis!

I would love to help you care for your precious pets when you find your life too busy to do it yourself.

Walkies, the first dog walking & pet feeding company in Auckland, has been successfully operating since 2002. Our mission at Walkies is to provide services that will enhance the lives of your dogs, cats and other pets.
